The East Burke Senior Center and the C.B. Hildebrand Public Library building was funded by Burke County. The building is located at 101 Main Avenue West, Hildebran, NC 28637.  The Senior Center is located on the right-hand side and the Library is located on the left-hand side.  The Burke County Manager and Commissioners planned this project for over ten years. The building opened on September 1, 2017.


The C.B. Hildebrand Public Library offers a wide selection of books, magazines and movies to check out for all ages in the community.  In addition, the Hildebran library offers 3-D printers, laptops and tablets (made possible by a state grant), and partners with the Burke County Public School's STEAM Academy. The Hildebran library has a special room just for children, a space for youth, a kitchen for cooking demonstrations and many areas for everyone to enjoy.

The C.B. Hildebrand Library is open on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesdays-Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed for lunch on Saturdays).  The library may be reached at (828)-764-9283.
